Teach Your Dog to Pay Attention
We all want our dogs to pay attention to us.
Success is displayed by the picture on the left. The images below suggest the steps to get to this point.
You must work close to the dog early in training. Keep your hands near the dog to help them be where you want.
Often you can lure the dog in place with treats but you still need to pay close attention to the dog to keep the dog on task.
Before you can stand up without your hands near the dog (as in the top picture), you will have worked close to your dog and intensely to keep their attention on you and in that way help the puppy learn to pay attention.
Use the Contact Us tab above to reach us to discuss attention or other problems you may be having with your dog. Consider joining our classes; we can help you with this and other dog training issues.
